DRUMMING FOR PEACE
Drum the heat beat for five minutes and then continue drumming the heartbeat while the following prayer is read and while
holding the vision for world peace and healing.
Together we drum, linked as one spiritual community in cities and villages around the globe.
We emphasize our Unity as Earth family-citizens while celebrating the beauty of our diversity.
We envision a world without divisiveness and vow to collaborate creatively to solve our global problems
of this millennium, using a holistic perspective to find solutions which benefit everyone.
We drum to celebrate and honor the Earth wisdom keepers, the spirit of the World's Indigenous Peoples worldwide.
guiding principle.
Together we drum, using the universal, vibration language of the drumbeat to convey this prayer to the Earth,
her inhabitants, and to all living things.
"When you have come to the edge of all the light you know.
There will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly."
Unknown
"whatever befalls the earth befalls the children of the earth.
We do not weave the web of life, we are merely a strand in it.
What ever we do to the web, we do to ourselves."

UNIVERSAL DAY OF PEACE
All colors, All races,
We dance for peace
And the healing of our planet Earth,
Peace for all nations
Peace for our communities.
And peace within ourselves.
As we join all dance floors across the world,
Let us connect heart to heart,
Through our diversity we recognize unity
Through our compassion we recognize Peace.
Our love is the power to transform our world
Let us send it out
NOW"
All hearts as one....
Peace....
MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH
The universal Flag represents all races and nations and does not represent any one particular group, gender, race, religion or
creed. The white background of the flag represents the purity from which we come. The colors are vibrations of energy,
common to all. The waves represent the ups and downs of daily life. The gold band, which encompasses this symbol,
represents our Highest Teachings: Treat one another as you want to be treated.

SHAMANISM IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE
SHAMANISM
Shamanism is a healing tradition of restoring harmony, raising consciousness in our everyday lives, to be awake to possibilities and to
the beauty and sacredness of all life and all inhabitants. Shamanism is being in partnership with the Earth, and participating the the
process of creation.
PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR SHAMANIC LIVING
Altars
An altar is a place where we are reminded of our union with spirit, where we place objects that signify our relationship with the
spiritual world. A personal altar may be very simple to begin with. Perhaps a candle, incense, stones, a feather, shell, rattle and other
objects that remind you of powerful spiritual experiences. When you engage with your altar it will take you into your heart and bring
you into a peaceful, higher state of consciousness.
Incense
The familiar fragrance of incense immediately sets the space for sacred ceremony. Incense is used all over the world to purify a place,
a persona, an object. Sage banishes negative energies and thought forms while cedar balances the energies, and lavender and pinion
bless all present. Florida Water and palo sonto do all three. The scientific explanation is that burning herbs banishes positive ions
(those are the negative one produced by electric current around polluting fumes) and encourages negative ions which are the positive
life affirmative one found in clean, clear, flowing water.
Rattle - higher vibrations for healing
The rattle is a very powerful instrument. Shamans use the rattle for journeying to connect with the spirit world and for healing.
Connect with your heart as you rattle. Listen and feel what your heart and rattle is giving to you and your body. When you are
depressed, sad, sit and rattle and channel this energy out of you. If you feel pain in an area, then rattle around that area.
Invocation
Invoke the archetypal powers of the four cardinal directions, then Mother Earth, Father sky, Great Spirit, and the spirit within you. The
Cardinal directions are associated with different attributes by different people and in different situations. You may look at the spirit of
each directions as the pathway in life, beginning in the East, coming into new life, a new way of being and its element is fire. South is
the high potential and looking closely to what we are developing and its element is earth. West is the place of the setting sun and a
place of completion and maturity and its element is water. North is often associated with the time of the elders, the wisdom keepers,
prophecy and the guidance through spirits outside of time. It is the place of the final journey and it's element is air.
Spirits of the natural world / the middle world of space and time
Stone spirits are the oldest spirits on our Earth. Then came the plant spirits, followed by animal spirits and then humans.
Shamanic States of Consciousness.
These are the states that powerful shamans learn to awaken to be in service for healings and readings for their
client.
Simply stated here as:
Serpent- clear, earthy, non-emotional relationship with time and space. Calm and objective, getting clear of the situation. Staying
grounded.
Jaguar- Heightened awareness. Sensing, feeling the energy of the situation but not being distracted by emotion. Feeling what is in
your "gut" and raising your intuitive nature.
Condor/Eagle- guided by what you feel in your heart and the expansion of your spiritual nature. Connecting with the "possible"
rather than limited vision of the "probable".
Inka- all chakras in alignment, a sense of expansion and a channel for universal guidance and wisdom. This is the place of the great
visionaries and the highest state of being.
Ceremony and Ritual - Sacred Space and Time
We can enter the magical place outside of time and space in which the here and now is all there is. When the Hopis plant corn they
do so in sacred time and space. They turn an ordinary act into a sacred act through their intention and focus. It is a sacred way, a
ceremonial way, to live each day in all that we engage in. It is a way to give energy back to Mother Earth and to hear her voice and the
voices of her great powers. It is a way to live in balance, restoring harmony to our engagements in life.
Reciprocity - Restoring Harmony
Reciprocity is the practice of keeping the flow of life giving energy in balance. It is a "thank you" and prayer in symbolic images. You
need not ask for anything. Rather, pray as if your prayer is already manifested. practices in reciprocity are in all shamanic cultures.
The practice of tobacco offerings, despachos, corn offerings, are all examples of energetic exchanges that maintain harmony with
creation.
Daily Practices
"Lighten Up" - don't take yourself so seriously.
Laughing: When you awaken in the morning, immediately stretch, feel yourself coming back into your body. Start to laugh. It is a
signal to your body, mind, and spirit that today is a good day.
Smiling: Smiling uses more than 50 muscles and changes our biochemistry. Smiling has its own breathing pattern. Putting our face
into a certain position changes our whole body chemistry into that mood. So simply SMILE. Then send happiness to the liver, the
heart, spleen, kidneys, any problem area.
Hucha Mikhuy (who cha mee qwee)
Cleanse heavy, dense energy from your energy field, flowing it downward to Mother Earth. Bring the light of your energy field, your light
body, into your body through your navel and circulate it through your whole body, all your chakras, down to your bones and every cell.
Let the light flow out of your crown chakra and back into your energy field.
