An elder Page (shaman) deep in the Brazilian Amazon said to a group of white folks...."We are all shaman, Don't you think that just because I wear those funny clothes and those colorful feathers on my head, I am more powerful then you are. We are indigenous to Mother Earth, no matter where we come from ." The shaman, known as spiritual healer, medicine person, paqo, curendero and other medicine names, is common in all cultures of the Earth, known by many different names, and is still called by Spirit today. The word "shaman" is from the Tungus tribe in Siberia but has become the accepted word to identify the healer called by Spirit, for the healing of all peoples and Earth Mother.
