We drum to create Sacred Space and call
the powers of the Sacred Directions. This
evening will also include the Fire Ceremony.
Beginning drummers welcome. Bring a drum
and a rattle, if you have them. Some drums
and rattles are available here for your use.

Medicine Wheel,
Session one, South
The medicine wheel is a sacred path of
healing and the shaman's path of power.
This is a year long path with engagements in
healing ceremonies and the development of
a personal healing altar.
The first direction of this medicine wheel
begins in the South, in the hight of the sun of
summer. Additional dates of the wheel are
as follows.
Session two, West, October
Session three, North, February
Session four, East, May
Dates will be selected by the group.
The medicine wheel is limited to eight
participants so register early.

Wayne Manthey and with Lee Hilfiker,
of Sami Ancestory.

Wayne Manthey is a nationally known
Drum Maker, story teller, and teacher
of drum making. In this drum making
workshop, Wayne will help you make
the Sami Style drum, from a
pre-constructed frame, and deer hide.

Lee will join Wayne with stories of the
Sami drum, and its use by the Noidi
(shaman) for healing and divination.
By making your own Sami style drum,
you will be invited to drum with Lee
during The World Drum event, here in
Eau Claire.
